Stop buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards before it's too late.
Magic: The Gathering is clearly superior for the following reasons.
MAIN REASON:
1. Yu-Gi-Oh is played by a lot of the younger population while Magic is an ages 13+ game.
2. Far more logical gameplay
3. Intersting storyline
4. No anime-style art depicted on any cards
5. No outrageous numbers to try to keep track of (your life total starts at 20)
6. Ability to control one or more of 5 classic elements
7. Far more challenging strategy-wise
8."Rakdos Pit Dragon" sounds so much cooler than "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"
9. Dark Magician could never physically keep his hat that pointy unless he had an excessive amount of fabric starch.
10. I play Magic and I'm awesome.
Also, dopplewis.... is incorrect. Magic is actually the #1 most commonly played card game in the United States. Magic has a new video game for the PS3 coming out (this year?) that looks pretty sweet.

I agree with The Love Guru. Magic the Gathering, Yuigioh and other card games follow the steps of Magic the Gathering. I played both, and i was good at both, Yugioh has a lot of flaws and magic the gather has none. Example: Any card you have in either game has value to it and a strategy, in Magic the gathering its open source free for all, so "The Twist" the love guru talks about exist very well in it, Yugioh also copies that twist factor, except it designates it to a specific card, which kills the "Open Source" factor of the game. Magic the gathering has cards from the olden days that were very powerful. and Still Are. - Yugioh, had old cards that were very Well made, but the new market countered the old cards to make them look weak or made it so they ARE weak... Exodia for example, is a legendary "set" so to speak.... why the hell was there a counter if the Card Game Specifically stated it is Legendary. Why give it boost cards to draw exodia faster and why have cards that negates the affect totally? - Waste. in my opinion (Thats just a minor example) Magic the gathering has cards like Wrath of God, which eliminates the field except lands, (mana/energy) - Unless you fall in the indestructible class, doesn't matter if your card is weak or strong, it applies to all. not specific. Conclusion: In my Opinion MTG was well made and still is, Yugioh has its quirks; both still fun game, but in Magic the Gathering vs Yugioh ---> Magic the Gathering Wins.

start mtg. lots more stratagie in magic and the decks arent as simple as 3 bora 3 shurra ect. magic requires lots of counting and turn calculation. yugioh only relies on luck and the ban list. i used to play yugioh for like 7 yr but i started magic like 6 months ago and im hooked. also magic doesnt allow packs that are more than 6 rotations old so the game is always fresh so new players like u and me can start quickly without having to buy out of print boosters. also yugioh is really hella expensive compared to magic. the yugioh card qualiity is really bad and doesnt even pass the bend test. so go buy a magic intro pack and some boosters and start playing magic TODAY.

Play magic the gathering. The cards are worth something unlike yugioh cards. MTG is an extremely fun game with infinite strategies that never gets boring. Yugioh has no strategies and is boring and the art sucks unlike MTG

well i like the yugioh card game better then mtg but ill try not to give a bias answer
ok well if you already have quite abit of yugioh cards i would say to stick with it unless you just play casualy then go buy mtg stuff all you want. but if your getting bored by yugioh you could try mtg out and see how it feels to you. so it depends how interested are you in yugioh?
as for weather starting mtg well i tried playing it but i got to confused about it now don't get me wrong im a big strategy game fan and i understood the rules of mtg what got me confused where all the lil effects on monsters that weren't in the rule book.
so it should be up to you dose mtg feel comfortable to you or are you having fun in yugioh
and now my bias answer is to go with yugioh but non biased answer is what feel comfortable to you

Ultimately, it is all up to you.
Asking for opinions here would just cause a war.
However, if you already have 3 decks, and are particularly interested, unless you are bored or sick of it, I'd stick with Yugioh as it is what you already, currently have and enjoy.
You could try Magic, and if you don't like it, stick with what you've already got, but if you have to have one and not the other, go with what you like.

In my experience, Yugioh is rather badly balanced.
I used to have a LOT of MtG stuff, but they got silly; combining more than two types of energy for a single card and whatnot - so I gave my MtG stuff away.
If you like Yugioh and already have a lot of Yugioh stuff, stick with it.
I don't think its sensible to spend a lot of money building up an MtG collection anymore.

magic is better, this is fact. I could sit here all day and list reasons but there isn't enough space to put them all.
I've played both, and it's no contest. yu-gay ho might be fun, but Magic the gathering is the best card game ever invented.

Yugioh fans hate MTG. Same the other way 'round. And MTG is more popular than Yugioh, dumbass. Get your facts straight.
