Is it normal when rolling out pasta for it to shrink back?

I'm rolling by hand

    When rolling by hand it's the goal to get the right thickens. I would turn the work piece 90 degrees until the desired thickness is achieved.

    Its perfectly normal for pasta to shrink

    if you dont want it to try sprinkling it with water and then flour and then it should stay ;)

    yes it's the gluttons let it shrink before you cut it.
