We've already had to push our wedding back once, is it wrong if we do it again because I'm pregnant?
We were meant to get married last year but decided to push it back a year. We decided to push it back because my fiance's grandfather died and his funeral was the day of our wedding. We're currently expecting our first child and I'm wanting to push our wedding back again by a couple of months, just to off load some of the stress. The wedding isn't until September when I'll be 31 weeks pregnant, it just fell that our wedding day fell in my third trimester. The stress of planning the wedding isn't helping me or the baby, when I found out I was pregnant I thought I could do it all but obviously I can't. With it affecting our baby, we both think its best to push it back so the baby is healthy and happy. We mentioned it to his parents the other night at dinner and they weren't very happy especially as they believe that if we 'cancel' as they put it again then will find another reason to put it off again.

14 AnswersEngagements & Weddings9 years agoCan I sell homemade cookies and cakes on Ebay?
I am from the UK if that matters. If not could you suggest somewhere on the internet that I can sell cookies and cakes on the internet.
I know on Ebay it says I need to clearly display a expiry date and it needs to be in a sealed container, not sure if that means I can or not.

7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat do you think about giving homemade jam and chutney as a wedding favour?
I want to make something for my wedding favours instead of buying something. I was thinking of making jars of jam and chutney and giving each guest a jar of jam and chutney as a favour. We're not having a huge wedding, it's only going to be 100 or so at our wedding.
Do you think it is too much to make jam and chutney? Will it make us look cheap if we give homemade favours?

5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoCan I use soya butter instead of normal butter when baking for vegans?
I'm replacing the eggs with vegetable oil. I'm not sure if I can replace normal butter with soya butter for vegans. I'm baking a cake for the wife of my fiance's coworker, I don't really know them so I can't ask. How can I make butter cream icing that is ok for vegans to consume?
11 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan1 decade agoWhat would I need and how much would it cost to start my own coffee shop?
I'm just a house wife - though not actually married yet - at the moment and I want to own my business to run by myself. I enjoy baking and making coffee and tea for others. I am aware it is hard work but it is something I really want to do. I used to work in a cafe a long time ago as a waitress but quit after university. I don't have qualifications when it comes to food safety, etc, though I believe the fe college in my area runs one that is a couple days long.
5 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoWhat is a nice gift for new parents that isn't for the baby?
Friends of mine and my fiance have just had twins on tuesday. We are going to see them on Sunday and I want to take something for them which isn't for the twins, just for them. I considered making something for them that they could reheat for dinner as I imagine they are very busy with new born twins, but my fiance thinks we should find something they could use like a gift card for a night out when we baby sit or something. They both know that we are open to baby sit for them when the need some time to rest, even if it for a couple hours so they can sleep.
10 AnswersParenting1 decade agoDo you think it is too much if I make my wedding cake a week before my wedding?
I think I want to make my wedding cake. It's just a fruit cake but not the type that has to sit for weeks and weeks to get it's taste. Do you think it will be too much if I make my wedding cake a week before my wedding and then ice it and decorate it the day before or should I leave it to a trained baker? I do have some experience of making tiered cakes, I've made one wedding cake in the past and several birthday cakes and a couple christening cakes but I'm not a trained baker.
