Can I sell homemade cookies and cakes on Ebay?

I am from the UK if that matters. If not could you suggest somewhere on the internet that I can sell cookies and cakes on the internet.

I know on Ebay it says I need to clearly display a expiry date and it needs to be in a sealed container, not sure if that means I can or not.

You are selling home made cakes so you will need to have a Food Hygiene Certificate and Public Liability insurance in case you poison some one whatever.

If you are selling things made in your own home the local council Environmental health people will need to check that you can meet the basic minimum standards for facilities as well.

Sadly that will make you self employed as well so you have to register with the Inland Revenue.

I don't know, but why would anyone buy them? Whether cookies or cakes they need to be well packed to survive postal delivery. Packaging materials cost money, Postage costs more than most people anticipate ~ these added to your selling price would make the goods very very expensive.

It depends where you are shipping the cake to.
