What we should do at this late in the day do, is put them that are caught, and we have the means to catch them all, or at least 98% of them, into a detention camp much like we did to the Japanese and Japanese Americans at the time of WWII. We could provide them with shelter and food, but make the able-bodied work for it, like busing them to the border to build a fence, a fence that none can get over or around. A double fence with armed patrol, dogs, and detection cameras to locate the intrusion. The well meaning and well behaved among them to be offered citizenship, but only after they allow themselves to be taught English and acquire marketable skills either academic, business, or vocational. This will never happen as long as we have the same mental midgets running the country, it is just too practical and somewhat idealistic for them.

I think they should do all that. And if you make it across, you still get deported back where you came from.
