question about Palinka. can anyone help?
okay well i feel ignorant for even asking this but i will anyways. i recently visited Hungary and brought back homemade palinka. to me it's the best spirit i've ever had. to my friends however they find it gross and group it in with the alcohol like whiskey and gin. they are mostly beer drinkers and haven't really matured with their alcohol drinking. my question is is there anything i can mix with the palinka to lessen the taste for these juveniles without turning it into some dance club mix drink?

I personally would not do that, it is just way to good to waste with lesser quality liquors. I agree it is the best spirit, technically it is a brandy, but it is better than the types you get here. It is possible that they may like the store bought palinkas b/c they are usually a bit less strong, however not sure how you could get that over here.
But, I personally think that is not a great idea to mix, and hey if they do not like it, more for you I guess haha.
Also, out of curiosity, what type of Palinka is it?
