Amgen Tour of California canceled due to snow today.?

They said something about going to stage 2 tomorrow. I didn't understand that and I can't find anything on their web site. Versus carries the live feed starting at 5 pm est.

Stage 1 was completely cancelled. Yes, they had snow and hail in South Lake Tahoe in the middle of May. That's California for you; this storm is coming down from Alaska. Tomorrow's stage is scheduled to through the Sierras and over Donner Pass (that's the same one that the Donner party got stuck in). There is speculation that Stage 2 could possibly be cancelled also, which would be due to weather at the Pass. After that the tour goes down into the Central Valley, then through the Bay Area, then it ends somewhere up north. After Stage 2, everything should be fine. It's supposed to dry out after Monday, May 16.

You wanna know what's ironic? The Tour organizers originally moved the Tour from February to May in order to avoid inclement weather.
