  • Good average speed on a road bike?

    At my last race, I took to the front of the pack because everyone was being stupid. On the gentle rolling hills, I maintained a 19-23 MPH average for seven or eight miles, and I managed to drop about a quarter of the field with the pace I was setting. Is that a good average speed?

    BQ: Why are so many posters on here obsessed with asking the same, stupid questions, over and over again?

  • Brake quick release problems?

    I ride a hardtail mtb, and recently the quick release for the rear brakes has been disengaging during the pre-ride "drop check." I recently replaced all the cables and housings, and I think I may have cut the brake housing a little too long, and that may be causing this problem.

    Any ideas as to what's going on?
