Why did West Ham wait so long to sack Avram Grant?

He was never going to inspire them, he has no inspirational qualities and they were doomed from the moment he was appointed. They should have lined up a replacement and got shot of him as soon as West Ham started to look like being relegated.

Sacking him when they did was like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted. The board are worse than him.

You are spot on i've been saying this for months lol. They are ran by complete idiots who make dreadful decisions. They sacked Zola who did ok and treated him like dirt even though he is such a nice person.

They sacked Zola and hired a guy that got pompey relegated they were in relegation form all season and they did nothing. Their handling of Avram Grant was also unprofessional and Avram Grant looked very unconvincing as manager if they wanted to sack him in january why didn't they. I feel for fan's seeing the club get relegated they looked like a joke this season. I would be very upset if i was West Ham fan.

  • They should of prepared for relegation weeks ago, even just as a precaution, West Ham are now going into the Championship next year with a new manager, a new team (most of the current team will have to be sold) and will likely have financial problems.

    Not looking good for them.

I remember we played them at Upton Park and at the final whistle Grant all but waved goodbye to the fans because there was strong speculation that it'd be his last game, that was January.....

I honestly HONESTLY think Gold and Sullivan wanted WH to get relegated.

    WTF

Even their caretaker manager wouldve done a better job.

Any board in their right mind wouldve fired him since December.
