Help destressing myself?

So lately I have been under a lot of stress with some big family problems and lots of schoolwork and my best friend is moving far away and all. Anyways, I'm 15 and my back/shoulders/neck are full of knots and are stiff and just don't feel good. On top of that I can't seem to focus on anything. So my question is, is there anything I can do to focus better and not have so many knots because of all this stress. Like is their some sort of stretching or breathing or any tips or anything I can do to not be so stressed and not focused? thanks:)

Well, you can treat the cause or the symptoms or both. If you want to treat the cause, see a therapist, where you can talk freely and learn relaxation techniques. I have the same kind of neck and shoulder tension, and there's a drug called baclofen that works well for it. It's better than most muscle relaxers to me because it doesn't really make me sleepy. Also, it's not a controlled substance, and it can't be abused. Flexeril, Norflex, Skelaxin all make me sleepy and don't work well. Soma is somewhat addictive, but very effective.
