Try taking some Ibuprofen 30 minutes before waxing. Apply the wax strip and when you are about to pull it, hold your skin tight on the top and bottom of the strip and pull up towards you.

It depends on how long this Redish Purplish last. But I do believe that you might have bruised yourself It's shouldn't be purple. Is it itchy? Really itchy? if not your probably not allergic to it but you should never give yourself a wax down there. I say that because there is a certain technique we use to make sure the skin doesn't get bruised or come off and if your not Licensed then good chance you don't know what that technique is. Um try some aloe products or licorice products just on that area. Hopefully it will help :)

Purplish sounds like a bruise or a broken blood vessel, does it look like a hickey? You really shouldn't have any irritation after a few minutes, that is, until the hair starts coming back in. If so, stop and learn what you are doing wrong and try again another day.

Allergic reaction would be anything from a mild rash to a constricted airway. Monitor carefully and if you are in doubt get yourself to ER.
