Should I go back to school?
Here are the details:
I am a married mother of 3 young sons. I completed high school and went to college for 3 years.
I have always had good jobs and have 10+ years of experience in my field. I get good reviews at work and have never had a problem getting promoted.
The problem is that I feel like I "should" have a degree. Over the years I have taken classes from time to time but the will to finish college never lasts long. I have too much other stuff going on.
I was laid off a few years back and was able to find a new job in a short period of time. That made me think that the lack of a degree wasn't a big deal. My employer will pay for me to go to school so the money is not the issue. I just wonder if it is a good use of my time to pursue a degree that won't necessarily = career advancement. Espically since the degree would be pretty general and any specialized training is provided by my employer.
Does it make sense for me to go back to school?
Thanks!
