A guy I have a HUGE crush on started calling me "bro"?

if I had to guess I'd say he's flirting.

hard to say without more context, but off the top of my head I can think of 3 reasons why he'd call you 'bro':

1. it's an inside joke between you two, or a nickname you somehow earned over the course of your friendship (unlikely since you said you barely know him)

2. he's just teasing/playing around with you. in other words flirting.

3. he really is just a dick.

probably not 1. I'd guess not 3 either, since you said you're into him. but you're in a better position to make that call than me:

is he generally mead or rude towards others? does he seem like a selfish person? then probably 3.

is he pretty positive minded and fun to be around? is he generally friendly with you other than calling you bro? then probably 2.

I DEFINITELY HAVE THIS ONE. (I hope.) xD I actually did the exact same thing with a girl that I REALLY like, because I felt that if I referred to her in a more casual, joking sort of way, she wouldn't feel like I was being creepy and just hanging around 'cos I liked her... (We're good friends, as well, so I don't know if this relates to your dilemma or not...) But he might be doing the same! :D I really wish you luck!!

I started calling the girl I like names like dude, amiga etc. because I don't know if she feels the same way in return and I'm too scared to ask. It's my way of trying not to give myself away.. but it's probably making it more obvious. I'd say he is probably interested in you too

gosh, guys are idiots! if he's calling you bro then hes probably not interested. thats so dumb, no guy should call a girl bro, even if they dont think of her in any way...
