Question about Surgical Artificial insemination on FEMALE in heat?!?!?

Been a dog breede for 3 years. i have a ***** its her first breeding took her to the vet yesterday and her progesterone level was 26 ..did a natural A.I. with fresh sperm right after. But her muscles were tight and she was fighting it. To make it easier for her i want to do a surgical A.I. tomorrow but im not sure if it will be too late given that her progesterone is 26??? never done surgical A.I.'s but heard good things about it .HELP PLEASE ASAP ..THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
