Bees Help! can anyone tell me a little more abouit their habits please?.?

We have a bee colony who have taken up residency in one of our Tit-boxes. The box is on the shade side of the garage, but a bee stands on the entrance fanning his wings to keep things cool. As there is not a front ledge on this "Hive" they seem to fly around each other posssibly to pass on directions. The question I would like answered is without design will the colony survive?. The garden is well stocked with flowers and fruit trees.

Yes it could survive but it depends on winter how cold it is... If u put them in a proper hive and take care of them in the winter there are high chances for them to survive.
