Venus Project, what does this mean are they working together or separate agendas?

It means everyone wants the same end-goal, but the two groups believe in different paths of getting there.

The end goal is a resource-based economy where our lives are not dependent on a fragile monetary-based economy. Instead, humanity could use our best technology and our best understandings to provide abundance for the needs of everyone, and do so in an sustainable, scientific manner that ensures the world's resources will be available for all future generations.

The Venus Project wants control of the messages being spread. They want control of how their images and name are being used.

The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) believes in a more natural, grass-roots approach. No one should be able to tell anyone what to see or how images and messages should be used. Some of the best ideas come from the bottom, not from the top. TZM believes in not having any leaders, so the focus is on the ideas and the science. Critics often like to focus on the messenger and attempt character assassination, instead of arguing the merits of why change is needed and what kind of change is possible.

The Venus Project has been around 30 years and was virtually unknown before TZM was created. In the two years since the "Zeitgeist Addendum" film was released and TZM began, there is more than half a million supporters worldwide, with a chapter in every major city.

You tell me, which approach is getting better traction?

The 'agenda' is the same, if that word should be used. A sustainable, free world, of prosperity for all people is the goal of both. In previous generations, people thought that goal could be reached only using politics and/or religion, but now people know better. Both the ZM and the VP are concentrating on particular parts of the same effort, and I do not see that as 'separate'. The organizations and names and all that is completely irrelevant. That is why it is all a Movement, and the ZM and VP are just a few of the efforts that are part of that movement. The alternative energy groups, the natural food groups, the anti-war and peaceful coexistence groups, the environmental groups, and many more all over the world, all are part of that Movement, which all together are evolving a paradigm shift, a new way of thinking about everything.

The real law of nature is 'Adapt or Die'... and finally Humanity, linked by the new technology of the Internet, is starting to figure out how to adapt to the ignorance of past ways of thinking and doing things. Humanity has no choice in the matter... if we don't change, we will eventually die out, like any other species which cannot adapt to new conditions. So the answer to the question is... are we working together?... yes. Do we have separate agendas? ...no. We are just trying different ways of reaching the same goals. That's all.

Everyone has their own agenda but it seems to me that the Movement is much more willing to risk upsetting people to reach our objectives. It also seems to me that Jack is pretty certain we wont be able to do anything to institute lasting changes until the current system collapses. I disagree. I think a collapse before we are ready for it could destroy our chances completely. Simply making a list of Engineers wont cut it. We need to spread our ideas as much as we can so people at least know there is an alternative to the Police State.
