I'm a seasonal employee.. should I still be taxed?

My contract runs out at the end of august, and my weekly hours is contracted at between 10 - 30....should I be taxed? as I probably wont be earning up to my personal allowance. I've only been there 3 weeks, so dont know what tax code they've got me on yet, but at my last job my tax code was 747L. can anybody help?

The other reply gave you the Formula, it is actually irrlevent that you finish in August. The payroll dept will go by what the software/or books of tables say, and that will work out on the principle you will be employed 52 weeks of the year.

So the fact you may earn nothing between August and April 5th 2012 doesn't enter in to it, if you don't earn any more you will be due a tax rebate, next year.

I you are earning at a rate that project over personal allowance then you pay tax. Once you stop work will you get another job? sign on? You have to pay the tax, if you overpay in the year you can make a claim next year.
