Question about travelling within Spain...?

I want to get a return ticket on the bus from Madrid to Barcelona, and back again. I'm just wondering if it's possible to pay for the ticket at the train station. I'm not Spanish, and my bank account takes 3-5 days to process money that I put into it, as I'm getting paid cash-in-hand. However, I don't have 3-5 days to get a ticket to get to Barcelona. The bus services within Spain are kinda confusing, so I'm just wondering if I am able to do this.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Update:

What I'm asking is is it possible to purchase bus tickets at the station, or do you always have to book online? Is that clear enough?

The only thing confusing here is your question.

How many tickets do you need? A return ticket...and back again? Is that three or four trips?

Yesssss, you can buy tickets by going to the ticket window at the station and paying for them.

Noooo, you don't always have to book online. Not everyone does things that way, you know. If you want to be sure you will have a seat, making a reservation might be a good idea. I'm sure you can do so over the phone, as well, if you need to explain that to them.

Spanish train stations only sell train tickets! If you want a bus ticket then go to the appropriate bus station in Madrid.
