When will we colonize space/the moon?

Obviously an educated projection as I'm sure we aren't anywhere close yet. But any estimates or plans from NASA or elsewhere? Twenty years? Fifty? I can see this happening within my lifetime, but have there been any "goal" times set yet?

No there is no goal set yet, but scientist are planning another trip to the moon in 2019

We haven't colonised the Antarctic yet, and that is a far more hospitable place than anywhere in space. It also would cost a tiny fraction of the cost of colonising anywhere in space.

I think that really says it all.

    Cheers!
