I have in diameter, a 20cm round cake tin. How many centimeter square would that be?

I'm baking with a rectangular tin instead, and I'd like to get the right portion for the cake. Learnt this ages ago in school, but can't seem to recall the formula.

Update:

I meant to ask. What is the area for a 20cm diameter circle.

    Area of 20cm diameter circle is

    Area = pi * 10²

    = 3.14 * 100

    = 314 cm²

    A=pi(1/2D)^2

    A=3.14(10)^2

    A=314cm^2

    It is simple

    The area of circle is Pi*r^2

    or Pi/4* (D)^2

    Where Pi ~ 3.1415 or 22/7

    Thus the area is Pi/4 * (20)^2

    = 100*Pi

    = 314.15 sq. cm.
