Survey. how many of you have ever felt alone, surrounded by friends, and family while caring for a loved one?

I feel the love of something more, and my dog is always there, however, I still feel like a lost soldier?

    Hey T my Love!!!

We can often feel that way Dear..The ones around us don't always think the same way we do...They are always full of them self and don't take the time to think that just maybe someone else needs to know that you love them

I like to hear I Love You from my Family and at times wonder if they really do or is it just some thing they say because I say it to them!!

I can be in a room filled with Family and Friends and for some reason feel like I am the only one there..Or that I am the only one that gets it!!

But then time goes by and I remember why I Love them so..Once you get that feeling of being alone you stop and think..Darn that wasn't really all that bad!!..LOL

absolutely! Sometimes it's because I'd rather be somewhere else or doing something else. I'm not in the moment, or necessarily in the mood to be with loved ones. Try opening up to a loved one, or start a conversation with you asking something about them. Get them to open up, and act "as if" you're interested in them. You'll get out of yourself, and you'll make them feel special. While you're conversing that "alone" feeling will go away if only for a little while.

I have just come through 18 months of taking care of my late husband. Family and friends called briefly to say if I needed anything which I didn't, other than their company. They would then say, "Mom, you didn't call!" These dear people could have just dropped in to offer emotional support from time to time.

When my mum was sick with cancer, all my family were surrounding her. I was there too, but I felt cold and alone, like noone cared for her or my family. I felt alone, and didn't know why God did stuff like that. She died three days later.

It's not possible to feel alone in the company of others. But you can certainly feel lonely and i sometimes do. Alone and lonely are two different things.
