Those of you who don't think insects are animals explain why?
And I want to know for those who don't think insects are animals, then tell me what makes animal an animal. Give me characteristics. I don't want oh insects are just insects. Explain to me why insects is not considered an animal?
PS: I already know insects are animals. That is just plain biological fact.
@issa bitta I guess you didn't read the question. Explain to me why there are not animals. Why are they different? And do you even know what makes an animal an animal?

Can I answer if I don't think insects are not animals? Animals are multicellular, heterotrophic eukaryotes, that's what makes an animal an animal. Insects fall under these criteria, therefore they are animals. Some argue mobility and sexual reproduction are also required to be an animal, but not all animals move or reproduce with another organism. If a sessile sponge can be considered an animal, it's not hard to see an insect as one.
I think Riu's right though, people usually associate 'animals' with mammals, so they automatically think fluffy, four-legged creatures instead of insects, or even fish.

Most people have come to think have insects don't look like animals because>
1.Animals are cute
2.Animals are fuzzy (sometimes)
3.People see Insects as gross and creepy.

its not an animal like we are we are humans diff then animals well they r insects diff then animals ;)
