how to upgrade a land line?

dsl is to slow.

Update:

I went online, and they said i couldn't upgrade to the next level of DSL service. That's why i was wondering if I have to upgrade my phone line.

    is there a problem with the DSL line, or is the speed that you are getting just not as fast as you would like?

    check your speed at http://speedtest.net/ and check the connection at http://pingtest.net/

    if the speed from speedtest.net is close to what you are paying for, then you will need to see if your DSL provider offers a faster tier of service, and if your loop qualifies for the faster tier.. if you do not qualify for a faster tier of service from your DSL provider, then you should consider upgrading to cable modem service - or FioS/Uverse...

    if the pingtest.net results show any packet loss, or high jitter/latency then you will need to call your provider to troubleshoot your connection...
