This has got to be a joke. Oysters are invertebrates and not in the same phylum as snakes (chordata).

An oyster is a Mollusk...also an invertebrate (mouths form before anus). Snakes are vertebrates (anus forms before mouth). It is believed that fish evolved from motile larvae of invertebrates. An early fish ancestor is a lancet. This gave rise to lampreys and hag fish, eventually evolving to sharks, rays and skates. From then the ray finned and lobe finned fishes arose. Ray-finned fishes gave rise to modern teleosts while lobe finned (home of coelacanths and lung fish) gave rise to modern amphibians. When some amphibians lost the need to be immersed in water, reptiles were created. Through time a group lost their need to have limbs and developed venom. All snakes have venom, most just don't have proper devises do deliver the venom. The ability to deliver classifies the snake as venomous.
