What are the chances she will have cancer?

Okay so my mom told me yesterday morning that she has a lump in her breast and she made me touch it and it was hard and scary. I just wanted to know what the chances there are that it is cancer because she is all I have. I don't want to lose my mom at 15. Anyway, thank you for the help.

We have no way of knowing without any information.

No one wants to lose their mother regardless of their age and there is no reason to think you will.

Most breast lumps are not cancer.

80% of breast lumps are benign. So most likely, it is not cancer.

My mom recently had a breast lump that was quite hard and I was worried sick. I was sure it was cancer. MRI results came back...normal! On the slim chance that your mom does in fact have breast cancer, it does not mean that she will die. Breast cancer, if caught early, is usually cured.

Sadly, the medical establishment is driven by pharmaceutical companies through the AMA. Work on nutrition is often ignored by institutionally trained physicians since they often receive only one or two classes in nutrition. Professor Emeritus T. Colin Campbell grew up on a dairy farm and was an advocate for animal based food products until he made a discovery that has been repeated by other researchers over several decades. Breast cancer growth is promoted by hormones in meat and dairy.

My personal advice to you is to check out the book "The China Study" from your local library. This peer reviewed research has been extended over many decades and has substantial scientific support. Other experts I trust include:

    Dr. Neal Barnard

    Dr. Joel Fuhrman

If the physicians recommend removal of the tumor, by all means do it. Please advise your mother to avoid all dairy, eggs, meat, fish, and so on. Sugar and refined carbohydrates should also be avoided. I personally would not choose to endure the harsh side effects of chemotherapy. I personally, would prefer a medically supervised fast such as the one suggested by Dr. Joel Fuhrman.

Your chances of having breast cancer is influenced by your diet. Please consider a plant based diet as recommended by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr. or Dr. Dean Ornish. The scientific studies are conclusive about the relationship between diet and risk of breast cancer.
