Will somebody please answer my question! Help?

Okay so my mom told me yesterday morning that she has a lump in her breast and she made me touch it and it was hard and scary. I just wanted to know what the chances there are that it is cancer because she is all I have. I don't want to lose my mom at 15. Anyway, thank you for the help. I posted this before and no one would answer me

Well, it really depends. I am almost 18, I had a lump in my breast at about 15, went to the doctot and he told me that it's just some fluids that got trapped in one of the nodes there..and that it will go away on its own..

I would hope for the best, but still, go see a doctor ASAP!! Even if it is breat cancer (knock on wood!!), if it gets discovered really soon, there is a 98% chance that she will live and be healthy!!

    Good luck. :)

A lump found in the breast doesn't mean cancer. A doctor will take a sample to see if it is; but lumps in the breast are common.

No one can answer that but the doctor after a biopsy is done. It could just be a cyst. relax until you get the results and remember the sooner you get her in to get this tested the better. Many woman survive breast cancer. I have two Aunt's that are survivors. Good luck sweetie!

Your mum should go to the doctors to get the lump checked out properly.

Anyways, about 80% of lumps aren't cancerous, so hopefully your mum's isn't. But still tell her to go to the docotrs.

its a high chance its cancer, especially if it runs in your family, but because your mum pays attention to her body and noticed the lump she should have found it early enough so they can just remove it and maybe a round of chemo.

but im not a doctor so i cant know for sure so if she goes to the doctor they will find out for sure and they will do all the can to help her, but it sounds to me like she has found it quite early before its had a chance to spread so she should be okay.

good luck to your mum and i hope everything turns out fine.

She should definitely have it looked at as soon as possible so that way doctors can treat it right away before it spreads. It's a pretty high possibility that it is breast cancer. Don't be to worried just have it looked at ASAP. Hope everything works out:)

Chances are, it probably is breast cancer, I've had someone in my life with it but she's perfectly fine now. There is a chance she'll make it don't think negatively

Make sure she goes and sees a doctor soon, and if it is (i hope its not) cancer, then try be as supportave as you can to your mother.
