Why did I not received 10 poibnts for 2 best answers?
I got the best answers 23 hours ago for a question about Panther Geckos and another About Lazy Lizards, but was only awarded 1 point for each. The Points Table says Best Answers receive 10 points. It does not explain any exceptions. Could you check this?

It was probably a glitch. There's no way other users can check how many points you got for a certain Best Answer.
My guess (tell me if I'm wrong) is that you've voted on two questions thus far this week. If this is true, then you did receive the correct amount of points. You only got 2 Best Answers this week (so far), so you earned 20 points. Then you asked this question, which costs 5 points, bringing your earnings down to 15. If you voted on two questions, then that would explain why your profile says you've earned 17 points this week.
