It doesn't sound like you're dealing with them at all; just running them over and over in your head. To solve a problem, you've got to actually take action to end it, whether that's telling your wife you're having an affair or admitting you are the one who is stealing from the company; or an obstinate fellow employee who is making your life hell; whatever it is. End the worry and consternation and do what needs to be done.

I am having the same problem

haven't been able to sleep for the last few days

Excercise is the best remedy - try and do something in the evening that will physically tire you out and it will help alot.

I find that I need to excercise as I work in an office and sit on my bum most of the day

I have taken Nytol if desperate but they take an hour to kick in so if you took one an hour before going to bed you should be ok and won't feel groggy or tired in th morning.

But I personally think excercise or lack of it is the main factor

Just live in the present moment. Worrying about things will not fix them. Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but doesnt get you anywhere.

Just remind yourself of this when you go to bed, and let it go. Stop thinking about things. Try meditating to quieten your thoughts. Just focus on your breathing, being aware of your thoughts, but not reacting to them. Just observe them coming and going, like clouds in the sky. Separate yourself from your thoughts, and let your body relax. After a while, your thoughts will get quieter and you should be able to just focus on your breathing without distractions from the mind.

You can also download Isotones, which are tones to help with different things. There are sounds to help you relax, heal yourself, sleep better etc etc. Check it out, they're pretty good. Isotones.com

ive had the same problem... these two things WORK

if you exercise do it earlier in the day. i used to exercise at like 10:30 pm then I wouldn't be able to fall asleep because I was still on the exercise "high" . Next turn off ALL electronics (phones, ipod, computer etc.) about an hour before bed. give yourself time to relax. good luck

When you are under stress your " fight or flight" kicks in.

The best way to remove the stress in your life is to make the space to sleep in feel safe and most importantly your own space. Enjoy being in your room. pictures music. I found putting black curtains in my room helped. I also painted the shelves by my window black.and bought a foam cover for my mattress.

Also, the closer to sunset you go to bed the easier it is for your body to realize it is bed time. staying up till all hours for the night, is kinda like scratching a record then trying to play it to the end. your brain just keeps doing the same things over and over again.

Wake up early, work all day and do some physical activity. When you're tired at the end of the day, you're bound to feel sleepy! Also, avoid coffee.
