What do you think about the study blaming the 60's free love era for sexual abuse in the church?

Oh for crying out loud, some of the molestation cases date back way before the 60s. Sounds pretty desperate to me.

considering many of the payouts are against clergy who have been dead for over 40 years , why shouldn't it be taken into account , the 60s. was when school teachers who were involved in the flower power and drug scenes had a big say in introducing kids into being sexual predators and willing participants . and look at what we have today

Excuses, excuses.....they also say that it's not pedophilia if the victim is under 10 years old...as if 11 is any better.

I think 'laughable' might describe it.

i would say its far fetched and hard to prove.
