Really? The guy who seems to say " I'll figure it out when I get there...". The guy who often quotes the founding documents of the country... wrongly? Really?

The poem on the statue currently welcomes the poor, the tired, the sick, and all of those undesirables.

Shouldn't we change it to better represent the current climate for the sake of sincerity? I suggest "Give us your wealthy, your white, your Christian and your heterosexual." Maybe something could be added about women being welcome if they didn't rock the boat too much.

... if Jesus returned and saw that the most vocal of his followers were some of the most wealthy and they were using their political power to try to block access to the most powerful Christian country to some of the most devoted followers on earth (Mexicans). I just find this a little amusing.

That the key to the greatness of the country was education, that some of the things that made America great were it's compassion toward the unfortunate and the possibility of becoming prosperous? Here it turns out that public education is expendable and the old poor people are merely obstacles of profit, who woulda thunk...

With the unlimited upward social mobility in America, the 'Land of Opportunity' we see so many people that have decided to be old poor people. Isn't that the most ridiculous choice ever? Just by watching TV we see we can be doctors, lawyers, metrosexuals, advertisement models... yet these people thought it would be wise to be old and poor. And they want to be paid for it...

I've got an idea... choose to be a young rich person! Well, it might be too late to be young but you know what I mean...

Maybe then they'll quit whining about having worked for 50 years and being forced to pay toward a system that was designed to assist them when they stopped working. Except then they'll want free doughnuts and coffee at the classes... never satisfied. They could be charged for the class and the money could go toward the tax breaks for the oil companies! Everybody wins, as long as we give them old stale doughnuts.

... assisted suicide yet wish to cut off social security, Medicare and Medicaide I thought it might be good to create a reality show where we can actually watch poor old people suffer. We could do it in many ways. We could juxtapose the suffering next to a scene that it made possible. Like the creation of a jet fighter aircraft, or a political gathering with extra scallops. Just so we see the suffering isn't for nothing.

Killing civilians on other continents doesn't happen by itself! These missiles cost a million dollars each. Talk to a poor old person about this and what do you get? Whining about fooood or medicine. Ha, get a job.

It's unbelievable. We're all supposed to be doing our part. Do they have any idea how much money it takes to throw a party for lobbyists these days? Selfish...
