Teachers: Ideas for using iPads and Tablet PCs in a 1st Grade Classroom..?
I am considering writing a grant to purchase iPads or Table PCs to use in my 1st Grade classroom. Anyone have experience using them with 1st graders? All constructive ideas welcome.
Sierra thanks for your imput. These will be used under strict supervision in a small classroom-probably 10-15 students. They would receive plenty of training on how to use it and what to do if there is a problem. They worked successfully with my iPod this year. That's why I'm considering iPads or Table PCs.

Hi, I'm not a teacher but I am a high school student and we are considering getting iPads and Tablet PCs in two years-when I will be a junior. I have babysat kids of the that age range before and I don't think that children that young are technologically literate enough at that age. The chances of the devices getting broken are much greater than those if you would wait a few more years.
