First of all, don't go for a Core2Quad. They're still on the 775S Socket, which means that it'll be old in 1/2 year and you'll have to upgrade again if you want to keep up with today's developments.
Second, upgrade your hard disk too or this will become a mayor bottleneck in your system.
I would suggest you should buy a 1155 Socket motherboard with a sandy bridge i5 processor and a SATA2 Hard disk and you'll be ready for the future.
Brands I recommend for a motherboard:
* ASUS
* Asrock
* MSI
* Foxconn
* Gigabyte
Brands I recommend for a HDD:
* Seagate
* Western Digital

Your good for pc gaming, and if you want quality hardware you should go for Asus hands down.
I'm surprised that you chose the processor that you did though, most people would have gone for an i7 or i9. But it doesn't really matter you'll be fine and be able to run anything on high anyways.
Anyways you can run whatever you want on the highest settings.
