Video driver issue not allowing computer to boot?

I have tried everything I can think of:

Installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 64bit... Video and Network driver not installed. Installing network driver works. Doing all updates except the video works as well. Once I install the video driver:

-from Dell's site

-From Windows update

the computer restarts, but logs in to a black screen. Music plays, mouse can be seen, but nothing else works. Rebooting into safe mode works with low resolution support. There is a driver issue. I don't know what else to do. I've updated Windows in every order, doing video driver first, last, middle, etc. The video card is an Intel GMA card and I cannot download other drivers from their site. It says, "page cannot be found". Somebody have any suggestions?

Looks like a driver issiue then. You should just start your computer in Safe Mode (like you did before) and uninstall the video driver. Note that you must choose the 64bit version of the driver in order to work properly and not the 32bit version.

Alternatively, you can download a program called "DriverMax" which will automaticaly download and install the proper drivers for your machine. Good Luck!

You have learned what Windows 7 is or should I say is not, If you do some research you will find that Dell Install and support Linux, also computer manufactures are dumping Microsoft windows and installing Linux operating systems, for instance from next year Hp are starting to install their own Linux distribution called WebOS, Asus and Sony are installing Google Android and Chrome Linux. Intel have their own Linux operating system for tablets, notebooks and net books it's called MeeGo

All the big hardware component manufactures are developing and supporting Linux for their hardware naming a few here, Intel, Ibm, AMD Hp, NVIDIA, ATI, Panasonic Mac users don't knoww that Mac OS/x is FreeBSD Linux

Linux Operating system is up to date May 26 2011 It is years ahead of windows 7 so if you want a fast Dell computer that is stable secure then check out the latest up to date Linux systems from here Dell install Ubuntu Linux but I recommend for your dell system

    Linux Mint 11

    Ultimate Linux Edition

    Sabayon

    Pardus 2011
