i want to know because i play metal and i wanted to know if the string affect the distorsion if they do witch will give me the maxium oh has to be around 6-13 dollers im geting them at guitar center
the gauge cant be to thick im like a 7 gauge

Well strings don't affect how much distortion you get. Typically metal players use lower gauge strings for down tuned riffs. Strings just vibrate, they won't affect your tone significantly but you will notice some deep end crunch with thicker strings. Try getting D'Addario gauge 11's.
