Why is it hard for me to write?
I LOVE writing, but it's so hard for me to just write for an hour or something. I always get distracted. It's weird because I want to write SO badly, but its hard. I have good ideas, but their so hard to put them in words. Is there any way I can get out of this habit?

Distractions are all about a battle between an immediate satisfaction and a long-term satisfaction. Distractions feed the immediate part of your brain, which is more primitive than the long-term satisfaction part, which is more advanced.
Turn off your phone. Take the internet icon off your dock or desktop. Don't open your email program so that you don't have email alert sounds happening. The more your mind "senses" a distraction (sees it, hears it, smells it, feels it, tastes it) the more your brain will crave it, because the distraction is more often an immediate pleasure.
All of this will make it much easier for your brain to focus on what it REALLY wants to do, which is write.
Best of luck!

You need to just write. It probably isn't the answer you wanted but its all you can do to get into the habit of writing. The more you write the better and easier it will become. If it is hard to write the story you are working on then just take like an hour and write a meaningless story about anything to get the juices flowing.

Yes; write every day about the most mundane things you can. Writing is like everything else: the more you practice, the better you get.
I'm a prolific writer and I get writer's block every once and a while; drives me CRAZY. But I keep at it and it goes away.
Don't think too hard about what you want to say, just write...sort of a stream of consciousness thing, O.K.?

You'll just have to make yourself do it. Set a small goal at first. Maybe ten minutes a day and work your way up. It's basically procrastination. You have many other things you could be doing instead of writing and you choose to do those instead. But at some point, if you really want to write, it has to be done. And only you can make yourself do it. So again, start small and work your way up to writing for long amounts of time. Take it little by little. You don't have to rush it.

you gotta get in the mood hun, just take a personal day away from people and get in the right mood. I usually do this by listening to music and hanging out in my room daydreaming, not necessarily about the story at hand, but about anything and everything. In this way, my creative juices get flowing and I can construct a plot brilliantly. Once you feel this way, then it's no trouble to run to your computer and get to writing. You'll write with an intensity that you never have before!

I have the same thing with recording songs... put it off even though once I get going, I love it... try to just sit down in a quiet place, relax and um, is there anything that inspires you to write? Use that if you can... and above all just enjoy it then you'll want to do it more...

first of all you would have to make sure that you have enough knowledge about what you want to write, read good writers, build a story in your mind first, visualise the subject matter then explain you story in simple words, use small sentences, lengthy sentences are hard to manage at initial stage and thet do not leave a good impression on the reader's mind, then give it to your friends and get their feedback, practice will surely make you perfect...
Best of luck :)

You have to just start. Maybe one day pull out a dictionary and write down a whole bunch of words on little pieces of paper. Pull one out on a day when you are stumped and just start writing about that word. Pick a character and just start writing about their back story. Journal an incident from your own life. Just do it.
