Without making a hobby out of it, I think we should always make the reports. It's part and parcel to being of service and helping each other. There are few enough venues for us to do this and chasing out the haters is just a matter of housekeeping.

I know you realize that this forum is a refuge for some people, kids, abuse victims, people from oppressive societies and lots of people who are just peeking out of the closet. And the opportunity to interact with all the different kinds of nonbelligerent people here is worth protecting. It's kind of a duty to make that little effort and report the aggressors who think nothing of hurting others.

You and I are not wrong for trying to help. And there are more of us than there are of them.

Nope, you're supposed to report people that come on and insult other members. Of course, there are people that have genuine questions... they post once or twice and it would seem offensive, but they're asking from their point of view. Those I answer. For other people who post over and over and over trying to make us feel bad or otherwise genuinely trolling, I answer their questions with snark, get two points, then report their asses. It's not a waste of time if we all take the time to do this.

Think of it this way Dave: they are not wasting our time, we are wasting their time IF we completely ignore them. They want a fuss. Don't give it to them. I don't like hassles and I've been trained to ignore lunacy. Lol. Nice to see you.

I think it is more productive to simply block them. That way you are not bothered by their replies and can ignore their questions.

Report them anytime they are hateful or you think they are violating the community guidelines.
