Just cuz Recovery was bad doesnt make Eminem a bad MC?

I agree with you completely. Just because an MC has a bad album, doesn't mean that they're suddenly all bad. I don't think that he'll ever make another album that is as good as the SSLP, MMLP or TES, but he's still the same guy. He's a good lyricist nowadays, just not a freakish one.

EDIT: @Precyse How was TES overrated? I agree that Encore is his worst album, but TES was a classic.

As for the question, I actually think Recovery was kinda dope. Not his best or close to it, but he showed off his creative lyricism more so than ever. Him and Royce are releasing their new EP in June, can't wait for that. 3 tracks have been released ("Fast Lane", "Writer's Block", "I'm On Everything"), and they're all fire.

@Talib - Maybe Em wasn't proud of it, but he also said that he WAS proud of Encore. He was born with a dick in his brain, he's f*cked in the head.

I like the old Eminem, but I think Recovery was an ok album. It just wasn't as good as his other ones. I particularly like the song 25 to life on Recovery.

EDIT: Relapse is underated as well, all the songs that the asker mentioned were good but the song Underground is one of my all time favorites.

Agree, eminem is a good rapper, but his golden times are over. Im just sick of eminem stans thats all.

Eminem's still a good MC. He just isn't the way he used to be, he fell off. But that doesn't make him a bad MC. I'm excited about Hell: The Sequel btw.

Recovery isn't his only bad album (see Encore, which is worse imo, and Relapse) and The Eminem Show is highly overrated.

TES was okay. It had 5-6 songs that I liked, which is more than I can say about most Eminem albums. But it's overrated in the context of people saying it's "a top 20 GOAT album" (lol) or a classic.
