I had something copied but then the power went out, is it totally lost?

I was writing a message on facebook and selecting all and copying it every once in a while in case something happened and I lost it.. but then when I am nearly done (a verrrry long message, probably surpassed the allotted length of a facebook message, another reason I was copying just in case) the power in my house goes out and the computer restarts!

it was the last thing I copied grrr but I don't know if I can get it back since my computer restarted. it's probably hopeless and perhaps this happened for a reason and that message wasn't meant to be sent.. but just in case there is a way to get it back please let me know, thank you so much!!

Update:

thanks that's what I thought sadly *sigh*

Radio Dj but the computer restarted so that negates the history right?

oh well.. I was kind of a b*tch in the message anyways.. lol well it was a long serious insightful message but I was afraid I was being too harsh in parts of it anyways so perhaps it wasn't meant to be..

If you were saving the data somewhere then you'd be able to reload it, but if you're just copying it to the Windows clipboard (CTRL+C) then it is unfortunately lost.

If you were just hitting CTRL & C, then It would of only been copyied to Windows Clipboard.

Basically, Until you paste it somewhere, It will stay in it's originally place.

So, If you didn't Paste, then the object would of stayed in it's original file location.

    I hope this helps :)

Because, after computer restarts. Windows clipboard become empty, unless you save the clipboard items.
