What in god's name does "question deleted - no best answer 5 points" mean"?

If it goes into voting, and either there are no answers or a plurality of people vote for "No Best Answer," then the question gets deleted and your points get refunded.

I think it means that your question was in voting and since no one picked a best answer, it automatically got deleted, thus minus 5 points for some weird reason.

And on top of that, I only receive an email to appeal about 20% of the violations I get.

If a Q gets no answers, eventually you get the points refunded in full.

I have noticed a lot of questions not posting lately.

If the question does not post it is eventually struck out.

I suspect it is their filters being overly zealous.

They return the 5 points if no one answers. I guess you had a backlog.
