aw yes the beautiful once scorned woman turned overnight star with her song about her bitter scorned pain, You Oughta Know. I mean I know she was already signed had 2 prior released records but it was that song that changed her career for the much better. hmmm... should I go with pre or post scorned Alanis. you know? I really like one of her latest songs "Not as We." it's a very beautiful song. happy 37th Alanis Morissette.
as far as the scorned female musician thing or similar at the least I really prefer the debut album Tidal from Fiona Apple.

I'm a big Alanis fan, she deserves a little more credit in my view...
'Ironic' is the obvious one, I also like 'Hands Clean' 'Thank You' and 'You Oughta Know' a lot too.

"Hand In My Pocket"
BTW, I did have an opportunity to interview her in the early 90's when she was just plain 'Alanis' and this was her big hit at the time. "Too Hot" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar7afdfBHj4
Quite the change in musical direction!
She started her career on the Nicklodeum kids show "You Can't Do That on Television".
