So is it a matter of record that conservatives believe that taxes are too high at this moment?

    1) Keynesian dictates you lower taxes during a recession and raise them during strong recovery and boom.

    2) Obama thinks so too.

A matter of record? No. I sincerely doubt it is a "record."

Do I believe the government would be wise to gut taxes, allowing those who are actually working to keep more of what they've earned? Yes. Most will not save their earnings but will instead, spend it and in doing so, drive up the demand side of the Supply VS Demand equation, thus forcing employers to hire more which will then increase the tax pool. The short term pain will be felt almost exclusively by those who have made government funded hand outs (social programs) a way of life who will be forced to finally get a job and be responsible for themselves.
