Adobe InDesign line spacing glitch?
I'm changing the spacing between lines of a paragraph in InDesign. When I set the line spacing to 11pt, the lines are packed together, no different from when I set the spacing to 1pt. When I set it to 12pt, it immediately looks as if it's double-spaced, and stays that way whether I set it to 12pt or 18pt. I can't get a decent, visually pleasant line spacing (I'm hoping for 1.5 or 1.25 spaced).
Also I know that I'm using the right icon, the one with the two "A"s stacked on top of each other/
What am I doing wrong?

Do you perhaps have it aligned to baseline grid?
Select the text and go to the Paragraph palette, at the bottom right are two baseline grid options, make sure the 'Do not align...' one is selected, then you can control the linespacing as you wish.

In February 2003 the Columbia orbiter incinerated 15 minutes before it was due to land, with the loss of seven crew. Others have been incinerated on the Apollo launchpad. You could try restarting InDesign, but I would suggest putting it in separate text boxes and using the tabs and/or leading/kerning and/or just using the space key to adjust them the correct way, then select each text box and change the space there. Good luck. :)
