    y=kx, where k is the constant of proportionality. So plug in 10 for y. Plug in 500 for x and solve for k.

    y=kx

    10=k*(500)

    Divide each side by 500 to isolate the k constant

    10/500=k

    Simplify

    k=1/50 or k=0.02

    y in terms of x:

    y=(1/50)*x or y=0.02*x

    Hope that helps!

    y=10,x=500 so y=1/50X

    I am assuming you are on graph paper.

    x=5, y=.1

    x=25, y=.5

    x=50, y=1

    plot these points...happy graphing

    if not your answer is this

    y=x/50 or x=y(50)

    10 = c * 500

    c = 10 / 500 (=0.02)

    Your answer is:

    y = 0.02 * x
