Can anyone tell me the quality of NAD 208 THX Stereo Power Amplifier, and which pre amp is best?

The NAD 208 is a excellent home theater amplifier, is built like a tank, is high current and very stable and will drive just about any loudspeaker. It can also be bridged and two of them can be used for even higher output levels if needed.

The NAD 106 is stereo only preamplifier. It does have good build quality using metal film resistors and comes with a phonostage.

The NAD 114 is also a stereo preamplifier only. It is also well build using good parts and well layed out

The NAD 1240 I could not find any real good information on this preamp but does not look likes its in the same class as the other two preamplifier's above.

The 1700 is a stereo tuner preamplifier and is not built to the same level as the first two preamplifier's, so the sound quality will not be as good.

So if I had to pick on it sounds like the NAD 114 would be the one of choice, if its strictly sound quality.
