Do you understand why Fiat money & Gold Standard can't work as a monetary system with heavy government control?
Lets face it, Wealthy Powerful people can, will, and do, in fact they have bought government officials. Many of OUR government officials. Lets also face that it's human nature for those types of people to do that if they can, and it's the nature of some people to get into position to profit from that fact if they can. Some of them will bribe, leverage groups with bribes, and do all they can to get themselves into positions of power. I mean seriously giving public servants don't do very well, they don't pay people off and screw people over so they get eaten alive by those who will, and that's who we end up with. That's exactly who we ended up with ... Obama has been working for George Soros for a long time, financed his huge Carbon Exchange Fraud for him from George Soros Joyce Foundation, worked for Acorn which Soros funds (and whatever took over for them, changing name only) and the relationship is undeniable ... to even a slightly honest & semi intelligent person.
Soros ties to the Rothschild clan is undeniable. The Rothschild clan's control of our Federal Reserve Bank is undeniable, though they spend a lot of money obfuscating the details and won't allow our government to ask who owns the Federal Reserve and dictates who's going to represent the US government at the Federal Reserve Bank by giving the President a choice of 3 names.
Here's the deal with the Monetary system, Gold is finite and can be controlled by the most wealthy in the world, by controlling governments or by using their money to control it. It can never reflect the wealth of a nation as a competent monetary system has to do.
Fiat money based on the wealth of a nation can't work with a powerful government, because that government can be bought, and we get what we are getting right now. We are being duped out of the product of our labor and it's going strait to Parasites who run the monetary system ... you know, the Rothschild clan.
What is the answer? It's Central government that has no power that would be useful in corruption. A government that can't choose winners and losers. PERIOD A Government that enforces a limited basic number of laws that favor nor discriminate against anyone.
Lets face it, the government is supposed to be the tail, and the people the dog. Right now the tail is not only wagging the dog, it's beating the dog senseless against the ground it's wagging back and forth with such control ... and that's EXACTLY what should never happen.
You can have preferences in States, if each State is like a country unto itself, which they should be. If you like a State better than your's and want to dictate their policy, MOVE THERE!
What are your ideas on this? I just can't see a situation where big government isn't fatally flawed to inevitably impose bondage on the people. I can't see a monetary system that won't be used to rip us off, if government can be bought and have the control to make it worth the buying.
Jax ... you should read the information. Of course it's much different, but it can't work well in a modern economy as gold is finite. If it can please show me information that can educated me, because all I've read just won't work. AND none of it works with powerful central government.
Stingray, that's a recipe for bondage, to have those who do make moves control it all and use all the people as live stock. You may get your way, then don't complain about being some powerful person's serf.
Their Constitution rules them ... I would be very interested on reading something about this voluntary economy you speak of. Do you have any reading I could check on it? I've never heard of it, but I'm always looking.

First off, I love your posts, I would love to discuss issues with you on a deeper level that Y!A. I agree with about 99.9% of what you say.
Secondly, your solution is exactly what I (and the founding fathers) believed was the apporpriate solution to prevent the situation we are experiencing presently. The states were always intended to be laboratories in which individual experiments in democracy were to be conducted. Those things that were proven to work would readily be adapted by the other states, those things that were proven to fail would be discarded, and ignored by all. Madison, in Federalist 10, specifically warned about 'factions' and it does appear that we haven't heeded that warning. Government run schools have seen to it that recent generations have no clue about that warning.
We need to get the educational system out of the hands of the government to make sure our citizens are aware of the things you (and I) espouse if we are to have a chance to stop this plot from becoming finalized. It is looking dim, but I do believe there is hope.
Keep on posting, I enjoy reading your thoughts.

You're absolutely right, no monetary system will work for the people unless there is no powerful entity that can use it to rip them off, because someone will if it's possible. People being what they are, bribery works, so we just can't give any power worth bribing to control and the largest problem facing civilized people will be dissolved.
It's worked pretty well for people in the USA, even though the Constitution was not followed to the letter, at least people respected it and would move back. Now there is a concerted inside effort to destroy it, which will destroy our freedoms and prosperity like the world has never seen, if it works.

There is no perfect monetary system especially one that is manipulated by government or other sources. I don't know if people can imagine a voluntary economy yet. Peoples minds are hung up on whether they are getting more than the other guy who doesn't work as hard and some just want power over others. Money gives them that power.
