You need 2 switches 1 regular toggle to turn the ignition on and off and a spring loaded switch to engage the starter.

Are you planning to keep the original ignition switch in the steering column? If so, you need to find the wire that leaves the switch that is for the ignition. not the one going to the solenoid, not the accessory, you want the one is in the own position. Upon finding this wire, remove the ground cable from the battery. Leave enough room and cut the wire. Wire in the Single pole single throw toggle switch in series with the wire. Reconnect the ground cable. This should do it. If not install yourself a kill switch on the ignition switch. You may have to go to the wiring diagram to determine what color you need to cut. Good Luck

Run a hot wire to the toggle switch & then to the ignition.
For the starter run a hot wire to push button switch & then to the starter solenoid.

You can't (not with a regular toggle switch, anyway). It needs to be a momentary switch, as the starter is only supposed to be engaged until the engine fires.
