i pulled the straight 6 and 3 speed trans because of some leaking seals. after it was out i started thinking about what upgrades i could do to it. So my plan is to put a chevy 572 with single speed trans. id like it to stay rear wheel drive but also rear wheel steer. possible suspension lift in the 6 inch range. id like it to be for my summer time daily driver to work etc. i will be storing it in winter as its too nice to allow the salt from the roads to start eating away at it. does anybody know of a rear wheel steer kit for this vehicle? other than taking a front diff from a 4wd chevy as it would take some major modifications for this. im hoping to find a bolt on kit. thanks also not looking for opinions on whether or not you would do this or like the idea etc. i dont tell you what to do or not do to your vehicles

I recently bought another 93 silverado with 350 tbi. I did a tune up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, cleaned injectors, resealed the throttlebody. I checked the timing and its right on. The problem im having is when I put the pedal to the floor, the motor completely cuts out and misses a lot. No, im not putting the pedal to the floor to beat the crap out of it im just trying to figure out why its doing that. And its not happening because of something i did, On the way home from buying it, it did the same thing i just thought it needed a tune up a lot worse than i thought. I have a feeling it has something to do with the computer. The more I drive it the worse it gets. If i pull over and shut it off, turn it back on its 10 times better. I dont know much about the computer things so any clues on what i can check and how to do it would be great. Thanks

In my 1985 Monte Carlo I have a 305 bored .030" over, new pistons, rings, has a comp cam with a quadra jet carb. I bought it like this so to my knowledge everything else is stock. I was wondering with the info given approximately how much horse power does this put out? Thanks

I have a remote control car i got from wally world, it was only ten bucks but its still fun to play around with. I dont know much about electronics so i figured id ask before i break it. I want to get more speed out of it. My idea was to put a 9 volt battery in it (runs on 2 AAs). Will that work or will it burn the motor or circuit board out? Thanks

93 silverado, 213,000 miles, stock 5.7L. i changed the cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, egr valve, cleaned the idle air control valve, put in new injectors, fuel filter is 2 years old. The truck starts good, idles good and drives good except for when it gets to half throttle and more, it has loss of power, stutters slightly and sounds like it missing or the timing is off or something, im not really sure. when i get to about 45mph and step on it the motor takes off like its supposed to but the power kind of surges. like i have normal power than it will lose it for a second, come back, lose it come back and so on... If im easy on the gas it runs perfect. i have no idea what to do.

My 93 silverado with 5.7L is getting 6.5 mpg. I changed the plugs and all that stuff and it didnt help at all. Its costing me almost $80 to drive 150 miles, i cant afford to keep doing this. What would be causing the motor to suck so much gas? The truck is stock except for the exhaust, its straight piped. I heard from other people with the same motor i should be getting around 12-14 mpg. please help, thanks.

I have a 1993 silverado 350 tbi. It runs fine and everything but if I go to the store or where ever and turn it off then start it again when I get back it idles at 1500 rpm. It only happens after the motor is at running temp. And it will run high like that even after I drive for a while, if I am at a stop light it's still high. Could that be where I am getting my horrible gas mileage from too? I'm getting about 6.25 mpg. And I rarely floor it, theres no lift and motor is stock and the tires are only 31's. I did a tune up in spring of 2010. Fuel filter is around a year old and air filter is around 2 months old.

I have an 85 grand marquis demo car, cant get it to run. no spark. i have heard that if the ignition switch on the column isnt used it wont work. Any thoughts? if so there is one gray wire that goes into two wires but they got cut, where do those go to? also if for what ever reason i cant get anything to work how hard is it to go from the throttle body to a carb with changing the ignition? what will i need besides the carb and ignition like an adaptor plate for the intake or...? its a 5.0L and it did run before. thanks

I have an 85 mercury grand marquis that im going to put in the demos. i got a little carried away when gutting it out and snipped a couple wires i shouldnt have. im going to run the starter on a toggle switch, that i can do no problem. The ignition i am also going to run on a different toggle switch. i heard that i only need 4 wires to make the car run, but i dont know which ones those are. i found a wiring diagram online but the colors do not match. Electrical things are my weak point. if anybody knows what wires i need to make it run that would be great. please be as specific as possible like how i can determine what wire is what. please help i am completely clueless and im afraid i might fry something if i do something wrong.

i have a 1985 monte carlo ss with stock suspension height. im getting aftermarket rims for it. 15x7 rims. what size tires will work for the best? if possible i would like to get a little bit wider tires in the back. thanks

im thinking of buying a S&W M&P15 sport. now the caliber is a 5.56mm nato. will i be able to use a .223 in that? i dont have a whole lot of knowledge in ammo and stuff, still learning yet. thanks

im tired of buying spark plugs, is there a way to make them usable again?

its a really slow sad sounding song, female voice, kinda sounds like sinead o connor or the lady from the euryhtmics. i cant really understand the lyrics but this is what it kind of sounds lke, ooo la say like a broken heart or something similar. any help would be great thanks
