how can i get my rc car to go faster?
I have a remote control car i got from wally world, it was only ten bucks but its still fun to play around with. I dont know much about electronics so i figured id ask before i break it. I want to get more speed out of it. My idea was to put a 9 volt battery in it (runs on 2 AAs). Will that work or will it burn the motor or circuit board out? Thanks

it might work for a little bit but will blow after a while but a car that price that's the only way you could get more speed from it by increasing the volts somehow I don't imagine you can gear it up or get faster motors so it might be worth a try but see if you can find something a little less steep going from 3volts to 9 wont last long if you can find something like 6v or even 7.4 it might last longer

Well its a 10 dollar rc car. I don't think there is a way to make it faster, but i think you could try to put a stronger battery in there. I've seen people do it. And jay is also right, you technically can't put a new motor in it or a higher gearing. If you really want a faster rc car, upgrade to Hobby-Grade rc cars. Trust me they are worth it if you really like rc cars.
