does it hurt when braces are being removed?

i'm gonna have my braces removed in about 2 years and my friend told me it hurts when the dentist removes them.is it really true?

    no, it doesn't hurt.. When the dentist is loosening the "cement" from the brackets, he may jar you around a bit. Some come right off with no problem and some may be a little more stuck than others but it doesn't hurt at all.

    Nope, I got mine taken off about a year ago and it didn't hurt me. It feels just like a tightening. It may only hurt if the wire stabs you hahaha
