tooth removed help!!?
Im a 23 year old male, it was a rather large pre-molar it was extracted 3 days ago, i have been following my dentists instructions on keeping it clean and so on, however the wound where the tooth was has a rancid taste that fills my mouth its disgusting. Im not in too much pain just what you would expect for having a large tooth removed but is the smell and taste normal?? what would you do??

Sounds like an infection, try not to poke it with your Tongue and fingers too much and see your dentist again ASAP! It should clear up real quick with some antibiotics so don't worry.

It is probably an early indication that an infection is beginning to build.
If you have been cleaning your teeth and rinsing with cooled boiled water made into a saline solution that you should not have this unpleasant taste.
Try to see your dentist tomorrow, ring the surgery number and see what the emergency provision is for the weekend.
